Langworthy Farm Bed & Breakfast is a 3-story, Victorian farmhouse built in 1875 on the home site of former Rhode Island Governor Samuel Ward. It sits peacefully under the shade of Rhode Island's largest Norway Maple tree and is just a few minutes away from beautiful Misquamicut Beach.
Langworthy Farm's accommodations include four guest rooms and two lovely two-room suites. There is also a fireplaced library where you can sit in comfort among the faux book-lined shelves. A delicious New England breakfast is served in the dining room with scenes of the famous Ocean House or The Carousel located on Watch Hill. You can enjoy your breakfast out on the front porch if weather permits.
After breakfast, you may want to stroll the grounds or visit the Historical Cemetery, where history buffs will certainly enjoy sorting through the tombstones of the Ward family. Afterwards, you can head to the beach or launch day trips to the nearby and famous Mystic Seaport Museum and Aquarium. The area offers several golf and tennis facilities as well. Foxwoods Casino, only 20 minutes away, and regional and summer theater pose some exciting options after dark. Wilcox Park is nearby and there are plenty of opportunities to stroll through town or just relax on one of Langworthy Farm's porches.
