Canadian Snowbirds are a big part of the US Snowbird scene.   We want to provide information to you that will be helpful while in the US or while planning your trip to the US.  We want all Canadians and Canadian Snowbirds to feel at home while in the US.  This page is new, and it will take some time to become truly useful, as we add information.  So by all means please email us with links for any information you think should be here.  And we will check it out.  Suggested links click here.

ALBERTA ASSOCIATION ON GERONTOLOGY - a province-wide interdisciplinary organization that supports persons involved in and concerned with gerontology in their efforts to enhance the lives of the aging population.

ALBERTA CENTRE FOR INJURY CONTROL AND RESEARCH - This Centre provides support for agencies, practitioners and other key stakeholders who do work related to injury prevention, emergency medical services, acute care and rehabilitation.

ALBERTA SENIOR CITIZENS SPORT AND RECREATION ASSOCIATION - Was incorporated as a volunteer action group on 1/31/80 to promote sport and recreation development for seniors (55+) across the province.

ALZHEIMER ASSOCIATION ALBERTA - to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer Disease through the development, support and coordination of local societies and chapters and to promote the search for a cure through the development support and coordination of education and research.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY SASKATCHEWAN - “To alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer Disease and to promote the search for a cause and a cure.”

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF CANADA - The first organization of its kind in the world, the Alzheimer Society of Canada was founded in 1978. Our mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer Disease.  And to promote the search for a cause and cure for the disease.

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED PERSONS - CARP is Canada's national non-profit organization representing individuals over the age of 50, retired or not.

CANADIAN SNOWBIRDS AND US TAXES - This site has a lot of information on when a Canadian Snowbird would be responsible for US Taxes.

DIETITIANS OF CANADA - Dietitians of Canada is an association of food and nutrition professionals committed to the health and well-being of Canadians.

INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION ON AGING (IFA) - Is a private, non-profit organization linking approximately 100 associations that represent or serve older persons in some 50 nations around the world.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF NUTRITION - A national non-profit organization dedicated to providing leadership in promoting nutrition for the benefit of all Canadian's.

ONTARIO RESIDENTIAL CARE ASSOCIATION - A non-profit organization that accredits retirement homes in Ontario.
